Services

Comprehensive Examination

As studies and research into many medical conditions continue coupled with technological advances in testing the dental examination has had to evolve beyond a simple examination of teeth for decay. Your over all health and the interconnectivity with dental disease and treatments is a priority. An X-ray or series of X-rays may or may not be taken depending on your needs.

Professional Hygiene

Everyone over the age of four or five should visit the dentist for a professional hygiene appointment twice per year. We will inspect your gums for periodontal disease, the leading cause of tooth loss in North America for adults. Our team is specially trained to detect, deter, and treat gum disease. We prefer to help you maintain optimal oral health so that you never have to worry about gum disease. However, if you develop periodontal problems, we’re here to help you.

• If we find cause for concern, we may recommend that you change your oral healthcare routine or the products you use at home. We may also suggest a deep cleaning, which involves:

• Scaling to remove tartar from above and below the gum line

• Root planing to smooth rough root surfaces where plaque builds up

• Use of topical agents to help kill bacteria and prevent infection.

Fillings

If your smile has been damaged by accident, decay, or disease, we can provide modern, aesthetic restorations. From simple fillings to full-mouth reconstruction, we deliver natural-looking, results for optimum oral health and comfort. In the past, if you had a decayed or fractured tooth it meant compromising your smile with metal restorations. Today, we have tooth-colored fillings and porcelain crowns to preserve strength and restore beauty. With these options, we are able to preserve more of your natural tooth structure.

Dental Sealants

Many individuals have deep pits and grooves in their teeth where bacteria and food particles can hide and cause decay. Children with poor brushing habits may also develop decay on hard-to-reach molars. For situations like these, dental sealants offer a means of protecting molar and premolar chewing surfaces from decay. Dental sealants are simply a thin plastic film that can be applied to teeth. The entire procedure is fast, easy, and comfortable.
